The recycling company FMC has been using the port of Cherbourg for the exports of scrap metal for the last 2 years.

Since, the tonnage of export scrap reaches around 10,000 tonnes and 4 calls per year.

In 2009, a new platform will be built on the quay des Mielles allowing FMC to development its business further through the port of Cherbourg.
