Nominated as finalist in the category "PORT OF THE YEAR 2007" at the Hambourg Seatrade 2007, the port of Cherbourg, located at the entrance of the Channel sea is the perfect gateway to Normandy. This award is a great acknowledgement of cruise professional judges towards Cherbourg investments to enhance its cruise facilities.

2008 is an important year for the port of Cherbourg because it will welcome mainly large size ships. Among these there are the Summit (294m) and the Queen Mary 2 (345m).
